Suburban French Polishers were first established in 1997. We’re a father and son company with combined 70 years experience. We’re Fully Qualified Tradesmen and we specialise in all types of Furniture Restoration and Repairs. We’re Members of S.A. Furniture Polishers Association.
We have a passion to make your furniture look as good as it possibly can, all while trying to make sure is it done the traditional ways using methods that have been proven throughout the ages.
We are able to provide many finishes to your furniture from traditional hand polishing using shellac, to modern day lacquers and 2 pack polyurethanes.
Owner, Glen Dwiar has over 20 years experience in the trade having started his apprenticeship in 1995. He is a 2nd generation restorer having learned his craft from his father Greg. Although now retired Greg still comes in to help when needed and to continue passing on his knowledge.
We also many connections to other great craftsmen including cabinet makers, upholsterers, furniture designers, wood turners etc.
